I've flashed dRonin Neat on my Eachine QX90C board. It's a SPRacingF3Evo with integrated brushed drivers and FrSky receiver.
When the autoconfigurator starts up it asks me what type of ESC protocol I want, and nowhere is an option for brushed motors included. I tried PWM, but just as I expected when it asks me to plug in a battery the motors spin up to maximum power - same thing that happens in Betaflight when you don't select brushed output and the drivers get a pulse intended for brushless ESCs.
I've had a look around at the non-autoconfig options but I can't find a way to get brushed motors to work. I read around and there's people who have managed to get dRonin running on SciSky boards as well as brushed F4s, so I hope I'm just missing something (rather than the option not existing at all and thus making dRonin unusable on brushed configurations).
