Motor wizzard, as far as I remember, the slider is just used to define the neutral value, you have to click on the(start/test?) button in order to see the effect of the slider on the actual output. In any case you can just skip it and finalize the setting from the output tab.
False Malware alert: just disable your antivirus install dRonin and the whitelist the dRonin folder. Alternatively you can disable euristic analysis in your antivirus as this is what is causing problem: the app is not identified as a known virus but as something that "could be" a virus (euristic analysis) . I am using Microsoft's antivirus and never had false positive with dRonin, so I stick with their solution.
